Publication Ethics Statement and Publishing Misconduct

  • In order to promote the construction of academic ethics, improve the quality of published papers, establish a clean academic atmosphere, and standardize the publishing behavior of authors, editors and peer review experts, the editorial department of "Special Oil and Gas Reservoirs" has formulated the publication ethics statement of "Special Oil and Gas Reservoirs" in combination with the relevant requirements of the International Publication Ethics Committee, the State Press and Publication Administration and the China Association for Science and Technology. All responsible entities shall always be honest, responsible, ethical, professional and fair in all aspects of the academic publishing process.

    1. Author publishing ethics

    1) The signed author should be a contributor to the research, a paper writer and reviser, and must obtain his or her consent when signing, and once the manuscript is accepted, the author shall not be modified or changed at will;

    2) The manuscripts submitted by the authors should be innovative and scientific, free of plagiarism, forgery, tampering, multiple submissions, repeated publication and other academic misconduct, and will be rejected once discovered;

    3) Authors should read the submission instructions and sign the copyright agreement before submission, and after submission, it is assumed that the author agrees to the relevant content in the agreement;

    4) The submitted manuscripts should avoid confidential information, sensitive information and other content that is not suitable for publication;

    5) The fund projects involved in the paper should be truthfully labeled, must be related to the research content of the article, and must not be falsely labeled;

    6) Correctly cite the research results of others, eliminate unreasonable citation behavior (plagiarism, plagiarism, enticement, concealment, requotation, abusive quotation, recitation, quotation without labeling, etc.), and the quoted content should be correctly identified in the text.

    7) Respect the independence of peer expert review, do not interfere with the normal review process of scientific and technical journals, respect expert review opinions, and communicate with the editorial office if there is any objection.

    2. Ethics of editing and publishing

    1) The editor distributes, reviews and revises the manuscript in a timely manner, maintains relative independence in the review process, treats each manuscript objectively and fairly, actively avoids possible conflicts of interest, and the manuscript review results should be fed back to the author in a timely manner;

    2) Strictly review the publication ethics issues that may be involved in the manuscript, and have the obligation to inform the author of the relevant content of copyright transfer and licensing, and sign a copyright agreement;

    3) Editors in all aspects of journal publishing should strictly implement laws and regulations such as the Regulations on the Administration of Publication, the Regulations on the Administration of Periodical Publishing, and other laws and regulations and relevant publication specifications;

    4) Strictly implement the relevant provisions on confidentiality, keep the content of the manuscript confidential, and keep the information of authors and peer review experts confidential;

    5) Respect the originality of the manuscript, and do not easily delete and modify opinions and conclusions.

    3. Reviewer publication ethics

    1) The review experts should be experts and scholars with certain contributions in the discipline, understand the research hotspots and development trends of the industry, and have an excellent theoretical foundation and academic level;

    2) In the process of review, the principle of safeguarding academic integrity and respecting academic freedom should be taken as the principle, and the manuscript should be reviewed honestly, objectively, rigorously and fairly, and reasonable and constructive review opinions should be given back in a timely manner, so as to avoid malicious criticism, personal attacks and unreasonable accusations;

    3) Reasonably control the review time and submit the review opinions within the specified time, otherwise the editorial department should be notified in time to avoid delaying the manuscript review process;

    4) If academic misconduct is found in the manuscript during the review process, the editorial department should be notified in time;

    5) Abide by the principle of confidentiality of peer review, do not disclose relevant information about the manuscript to other unrelated personnel, do not transfer it to others for review, and avoid using any information obtained in the review work to seek benefits for themselves or others or other improper behaviors;

    6) The information provided by the review experts shall be true and accurate, and shall not provide false information;

    7) When the reviewer has an interest in the reviewed manuscript, he or she should actively recuse himself or herself from reviewing the manuscript.

    4. Identification and handling of academic misconduct

    "Special Oil and Gas Reservoirs" has always had "0 tolerance" for academic misconduct, and all manuscripts have been tested by the academic misconduct literature detection system of CNKI scientific and technological journals, and the duplicate check rate is required to be less than 10%. According to the specific list of plagiarism checks, the paper will be judged, and if there are problems such as improper signature, plagiarism, forgery, tampering, multiple submissions of one draft, repeated publication, split publication, etc., the paper will be deemed to have academic misconduct. For papers with academic misconduct, the results are as follows:

    1) Before the final characterization, the author will be informed of the results and given the opportunity to explain;

    2) For manuscripts within the review period, the manuscript will be rejected;

    3) For manuscripts that are not officially published during the editing period, the manuscript will be rejected and disqualified, entered into the integrity blacklist, and the manuscript will be rejected;

    4) For officially published manuscripts, our journal will revoke the paper in the publication medium and make a formal statement, notify the cooperative database to delete the manuscript, send a letter to the author's unit to inform it, and the author should publicly apologize to the infringed person and the journal for his infringement.

    If the author has objections to the processing results, he can submit a written review application to the journal within 15 working days after receiving the notice, and the editorial department will invite experts to review, and inform the author of the review result within 30 working days.
