Abstract: In view of the characteristics of low matrix permeability, fracture development, fast water occurrence and low production of volcanic reservoirs with bottom water, the reservoir numerical simulation and the oil-gas-water model with dual porosity and dual permeability were adopted to study the influences of horizontal well length, well spacing, water avoidance height, fracture spacing, fracture half-length and fracture conductivity on horizontal well production in the study case of Well Block J10 in Jinlong Oilfield, Junggar Basin, Xinjiang. The optimal solution for horizontal well development parameters was worked out, that is, the reasonable horizontal well spacing in Well Block J10 was 300 to 350 m, the length of horizontal section 630 m, the optimal water avoidance height 225 m, the fracture spacing 90 m, the fracture half-length 105 m, and the fracture conductivity 60 D·cm. The results of this study have been applied in the field with good production results, and can provide a reference for the development deployment of volcanic hydrocarbon reservoir with bottom water.
